Although most flagship users skip at least one generation before upgrading, Verizon Wireless has decided to make things easy for those who want to own the most recent flagship at any time. Yesterday, the company introduced the new annual upgrade program for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge.
According to Verizon, those who purchase one of the two new Samsung flaghips with the device payment option are eligible to get new handsets every year, and those who pre-ordered and are on the device payment option are automatically enrolled in the program. The customers part of the Verizon Annual Upgrade Program can just grab a new smartphone every year.
The Verizon Wireless website also says "You can upgrade 30 days after activating a new phone when more than 50% of the device price has been paid." In addition to the annual upgrade program, switchers or those who activate a new Galaxy S7 handset "can receive $100 when activating a Samsung Galaxy S7 or Samsung Galaxy S7 edge." Unfortunately, this is a limited time offer.
