Only one week after the official launch, T-Mobile updates the Samsung Galaxy S7 and its sibling, the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. The update is rather small and does not come with any major changes.
According to the official T-Mobile support page, Samsung Galaxy S7 model G930T receives an update to baseband version G930TUVS2APB8, which is obviously based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The update apparently started to roll out two days ago, and the only things that T-Mobile reveals about the changes it brings are that it packs no new features and the improvements included are "security updates" and nothing more.
Owners of the Galaxy S7 with G930TUVU1APB6 baseband will be prompted to update automatically until March 25. The process has begun on the 17th and, as usual, those in a hurry can check for the 41 MB update manually. According to SamMobile, Verizon Wireless unleashed a similar update for its Galaxy S7 lineup earlier today as well.
