According to DxOMark, this new Samsung flagship is better than its predecessor and the Xperia Z5 in both photo and video performance.
Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is the best choice for those passioned by mobile photography, according to DxOMark. Since the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and the Sony Xperia Z5 were holding the crown, this does not come as a surprise. However, the new flagship managed to gain excellent scores for both photo and video performance, something that never happened before.
DxOMark praised the Galaxy S7 Edge for its autofocus performance, where it obtained 94 points. The handset also received big scores for texture (91) and noise levels (89), as well as for exposure and contrast (90). Moving to mobile video performance, the autofocus capabilities of the S7 Edge shine again, with a score of 92 points. Noise and stabilization look great as well, with 94 and 90 points.
To make this a complete win for Samsung, it is also worth mentioning that four of the top five positions in the DxOMark ranking belong to its devices. The Xperia Z5 shares the second place with the S6 Edge Plus as mentioned earlier, while the iPhone 6S Plus only managed to rank sixth.
