South Korean giant LG Electronics introduced the G5 flagship in Barcelona, during this year's Mobile World Congress. However, they only revealed that LG G5 is scheduled to reach the US market "in early April" and the date of arrival is not official even at this time.
Fortunately, Droid Life's inside sources managed to find out that US Cellular plans to open pre-orders for the new Android flagship on March 28 while full availability will start on April 1st. While it may look like one, they also highlight that "this isn’t an April Fools’ joke." Even more, their "reliable source" also has information about the pricing of this handset - $636 USD without contract, $199 USD with a two-year agreement, or $26.5 USD a month for 24 months.
This 5.3-inch flagship powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 and featuring an always-on IPS display is also expected to reach AT&T, Sprint, Verizon Wireless, Best Buy, and B&H. A free second battery and charging cradle should come with the units acquired during the pre-order period, but remains to see if US Cellular customers will get this deal or not. We will surely hear more about the debut of the LG G5 on the US market soon, so stay tuned.
